Let's start at the begining

It was a normal lazy sunday afernoon, and I didn't bother getting dressed, I was sat having a cuppa, and as I lifted my coffee to my mouth, my arm rested on my right breast.... that's when I first thought that something was odd... I felt a raised area on the top of my breast, so I put my coffee down and checked out the raised area... I turned to my lovely husband Dave and said "does this feel odd to you"? he said "Yes it does, what's that"? It felt like a swollen milk gland, but my period was due the following week, so I thought I would see what happened after my period...  3 weeks later, with my period out of the way, there was still no change in the swollen milk gland, I rang the doctors to make an appointment to get it checked out, I got an appointment for a week later. 4/8/2010
When I saw my doctor, I told her about this swollen milk gland and she checked both my breasts, she said it just felt like a blocked milk gland, so she would send me to the Jasmine suite in Doncaster Royal Infirmary just to get it checked out, she got her secretary to make me an appointment for 2 days later 6th August.

  1. Caz,
I have just read through your blog, it is a well written piece and despite you being in the middle of it all you seem to have arrived (on your own) to the only logical choice based upon the options and to limit and future occurance - From that perspective I hope this enables you to move forward easier knowing you are doing the right thing - You also mentioned that you felt people were sort of avoiding talking about things to you and talking around you instead - I am sure this is purely because no-one wants to say the wrong thing or cause you added pain, once they know you are feeling better about your decisions they will be more likely to voice themselves to you again - another important point you raised was Femininity and how things would/could be different - Femininity/Masculinity comes from within regardless of what is occuring with the physical body the Soul inside you is what makes you what you are, I saw Dave with a wig on and he did not look any more feminine - you knew it was Dave and no amount of Wigs/Dresses or makeup could make him appear Feminine (sorry Dave ;-)) - at the end of the Day you will always be Caz, you will always play your Rock stuff and never play Rod Stewart ;-) I hope this comment is subjective enough and put to you in a light hearted way that you will be fine and everyone that knows you will be ready to help as needed and be there when you need them.
